The Notions Room Returns Policy

At The Notions Room, we strive to ensure every order is packed accurately and arrives in excellent condition. Due to the nature of our products, we maintain a limited returns policy.

Returns Due to Our Error

Returns and refunds are only accepted when an item has been shipped incorrectly by The Notions Room.

If you receive an incorrect item, you must contact us within 15 days of receiving your order. We may request photographs and order details to verify the error.

Once the issue has been confirmed, we will provide instructions for returning the item and will issue a replacement or refund, as appropriate.

Change of Mind Purchases

We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for:

  • Change of mind
  • Ordering the wrong item
  • Ordering the wrong size, view, or pattern
  • Duplicate purchases made by the customer
  • Products no longer wanted after purchase

Please review your order carefully before completing your purchase.

Sewing Patterns

All sales of sewing patterns are final.

Due to copyright restrictions, we cannot accept returns, exchanges, or provide refunds for:

  • Printed sewing patterns
  • Digital sewing patterns
  • Downloadable pattern products

Books

Books may be returned only if they were shipped in error by The Notions Room.

Returned books must:

  • Be in new, unused condition
  • Show no signs of wear or damage
  • Not contain traced, copied, cut, or used patterns

Notions, Sewing Tools & Supplies

Notions, sewing tools, and sewing supplies may be returned only if they were shipped in error by The Notions Room.

Returned items must:

  • Be unused
  • Be in their original unopened packaging
  • Be in resalable condition

Items that have been opened, used, damaged, or altered are not eligible for return or refund.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 15 days of delivery with photographs of the item and packaging. We will review the issue and work with you to determine an appropriate resolution.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original method of payment after the returned item has been received and inspected.

Shipping charges are non-refundable except where the return is the result of an error made by The Notions Room.
